Frank Chacksfield（法兰克·查克斯菲尔德）1914-1995，英国指挥家。Frank Chacksfield1914年5月9日出生于萨塞克斯郡的巴特尔（Battle, Sussex）。7岁开始学习钢琴，14岁开始第一次独奏演出。22岁时担任过乐队的指挥。二战期间服役，后因病被指派在 BBC广播电台为军队制作娱乐节目。战后制作节目，在此结识了切斯特（Charlie Chester）。战后他们组织了一个由电台和工作室乐手组成的乐队。1953年，他创建了自己的乐队“流行歌手”（The Tunesmiths）。经过努力，乐队开始走红，在各地巡回演出，歌曲登上排行榜前列，并经常录制唱片，还参与电影歌曲的制作。他们在英国和美国都取得了很大的成功。同时乐队规模不断扩大，加入了弦乐手，成为一支管弦乐团，即弗兰克·查克斯菲尔德乐团。通俗音乐之外，查克斯菲尔德及其乐团也演奏了不少科尔·波特（Cole Porter）、格什温和伯林的作品。查克斯菲尔德逝世于1995年6月9日。
